How do I prepare for the upcoming summer months?
Summer is COMING!
That either A, inspires excitement deep in your bones or B, tremendous fear in your heart. SUMMER IS COMING! So how do we prepare people!?!?!
Spoiler alert, I’m human and I love to eat and drink. I love the community that is created by having friends over for a magical dinner. Summer for me means, having friends over, taking some time off, sitting by a pool, taking walks on the beach, basking in sun and fun all while holding an adult beverage.
My weight fluctuates throughout the year, and I normally pick up a few pounds due to my love for festivities. To get my body ready for summer I make sure I’m in the best shape possible. I use spring as an opportunity to carve off the winter LBS and get my body ready for fun in the sun.
How do I take off the pounds?
I try to limit my number of alcoholic beverages on the weekend, and add in an extra exercise day. Right now I’m allowing 3 drinks a week. Gasp. Aside from teaching STEAM four times a week; this year I’ve added in Tuesday and Thursday afternoon runs with Olivia (my dog child) and a 30 yoga session right afterwards.
