What does community mean to you?
Community to me is connection. I often find comfort in connecting over shared struggles and enjoying shared victories. Nothing better than celebrating with a team. I am so grateful for the communities in my life. I find myself in a few different communal hubs; every group I join or passion I follow tends to come with it’s own unique batch of friends to cheer me on my journey. Unexpectedly, getting Olivia (our freaking awesome puppy), my favorite part of having a puppy is the people I meet through her. The community of dog ownership. New friends who share my struggles who can also lend some wisdom along the way.
For me, taking our STEAM community to an online class structure, has created a new joy for training and a deepening in connection. I get to hear about people’s lives outside of class through our forum and everyone can collectively celebrate wins or share love over struggles, all in our tight bubble. The best part is we are all experiencing the same workouts so we can share about how crazy our teacher is. Wait… I’m the teacher, but yea still, that guy’s workouts are nuts.
